Car has done 80,000 miles, full MB service history.
I've got a really annoying ticking from the engine ( sounds like its coming from the top end, near the back on the drivers side. Hard to pin point )
Sounded to me like belt pulleys / tensioners but it's definitely not..
The ticking increases with engine revs and gets progressively louder when accelerating ( Can only be heard with the window's down )
Does anyone have any idea's? its driving me up the wall

My car is not even 2 years old and has only done 12k miles but I can hear what sounds like the belt turning. As it's a 2.0L, the engine doesn't make any appealing noise, it's all the exhaust. Are you sure it's not the cam/timing belt?
